Hey...

For the past week or so my left boobie has been sore and tender, and its now creeping in to my armpit and around the top bit of my arm..

I went to the doc's yesterday but she said she can't do anything until im on, which is in 2 weeks.. just to take pain killers (ummm, no)

I keep typing things in to google, but im to affraid of what will come up so i close the page before hitting the search icon... i know the C word will come up.. im already worried about it, seeing that will just freak me out.

One of my mates said it could be the glands, i really hope she is right... my throat glands were up the other day for a couple of days, so im wondering if its down to that, also i have been feeling like the start of morning sickness, very nauseus (sp).. oh, test was negative..

These are going to be 2 very long weeks!!

Do you have any redness on the breast?  Is it swollen in anyway?  Does it look abnormal?  Do you know if you have ovulated recently?

It could be any number of things from and infection in the milk ducts or post ovulation pain due to hormones.  As you have had swollen glands in the last few days your friend could be right and it might be the glands in your arm pit that are swollen and causing the discomfort.  Do you shave under your arms?  Sometimes you can get an infection in the hair follicles and the pain can radiate down into the breast.

I would keep an eye on it and if you are not happy go back to the dr and tell them the pain killers aren't working and you want some more reasurance it is nothing more sinister.

Mate...try not to wind yourself up...and stop looking on the binternet.

Your doc will need for you to have your period so she can rule out your hormones doing stuff to you...which is perfectly normal.

If you get any orangey peel type marks, discharge, itchiness, or feel any lumps go back and see her asap.

Could be all sorts of reasons chica

My nipple and armpit is really itchy, which is anoying as if i scratch , it hurts as its tender.. and i've noticed my boob has swollen slightly...

The doc had a quick feel but couldn't feel any lumps.. so thats a good sign

How very strange you should post this Nicki! I was going to post about
my left boob being sore too! Weird!

I am due on in a couple of weeks so thought it might be that too!

Hope yours is ok and its something easily explained! Hope mine is too
for that matter !
xx

I would go back and see your doc for reassurance, or ask to see a different GP for a second opinion. I hope it calms down soon for you.

Are you bf? Or have you just finished? I had really sore boobs when I was just feeding Ben once during the evening and my gp said that it was old milk not properly drained from the milk ducts.

If you're still worried, go back. Better to be safe than sorry!
