There's only 15 months between Noah and Joe, and I think it's a lovely age gap. I was feeding Noah but my AF came back when he was 4 months, with Ethan my AF didn't come back until he was 10 months. Yes it was hard, but a new baby always is hard. It's such an individual choice. There's 2 years between Ethan and Joe, and that was right for me then. There's only 11 months between my husband and his brother, and they were always very close as children, they were babies number 1 and 2 for my mil, and she was exclusively feeding baby 1 when she got pg again (no solid food at all). Some people want it this way because it's right for them, why is that silly?

Like Sam said, nature has its own way of spacing babies out sometimes. There's no guarantees that you will or won't get pregnant regardless of whether you're breastfeeding. If she wants a small gap and still to keep feeding all she can do is try and see what happens.
