I had glandula fever when I was 14, as did my friend. We had extremely sore and swollen throats, and our glands were up and could easily be felt on our neck. However, the difference was she had it, had antibiotics and was back in school within 2 weeks. I had it and weeks, and weeks later I was unable to move from being so weak, sipping warm soup through a straw and drinks was the only nutritian I could face. Att he time i was studying for one of my GCSE's a year early, and was missing lots of school work in my other subjects. I lost so much weight, and my boobs went from 34C to flat. I was pale and really poorly. I began to feel better after about 6 weeks and was back in school after about 14 weeks. I have always had problems since, my nasal problems started then and have never been rectified even with surgery, plus few other things.

Glandula fever is tested with a blood tests, and can be of any extreme. Its very likely you have a viral infection, this can cause swelling of your glands and throat also give you a bit of a sore throat. Im not sure exactly what it is, but I know its not nice :o(

I believe the extreme part of this is like Chris said it effects the whole body. This will get into every gland of the body and really knocks you off your feet. I have not had this although i know people who have and have been ill for weeks with it.
