There are a few "old wives tales" to do with bringing on labour, some more scientific than others!

  • Lots of sex! This one has some truth in it. The hormones in sperm soften the cervix and make it ready for labour.
  • Spicy food
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Lots of walking!
  • Drinking Raspberry leaf tea
Good luck - not much longer now!

The pressure your feeling in your pelvis could be the baby's head dropping down and engaging... which means you probably are quite near now.
Keeping active always helps, as Dizie said, walkings good but nothing too strenuous.

I was 13 days overdue with my youngest before i was induced, and nothing i did made the slightest difference in trying to tempt him out lol so i'd just try to rest up now and conserve your energy, as you'll be needing it when the time comes for lo to make its apperence!
