AF has started with a vengence !!

Am in utter agony and keep loosing clots like you get after childbirth.

Could it just be because I was nearly 3 weeks late or should I go to the GP ?

I would phone NHS direct and check. If you cant think of a reason why you are late and are not normally so late then it seems a bit sinister to me. I hope its not but it would be worth getting an expert opinion.

I agree Hazy. You need to speak to gp - that doesn't sound right at all.

Have an appointment for tomorrow morning. NHS 24 said it could be fibroids or an early mc, but I had a negative pregnancy test.

As your af was so late it may mean that you had an annovulatory cycle, it is very normal for women not to ovulate a couple of times a year.  The only way you get af then is when the lining of your womb thickens so much it then breaks down.  This will cause clots.  Since my mc's I always get clots and bad cramps I just ignore them now.

Hi hun

I agree it's better to be safe than sorry and get checked.... this is going to sound gross but if you pass any really big clots try and keep them in a clear fridge/freezer bag as they might want to see them..... i frequently pass quite large clots, but if your af gets any heavier than having to change pads every hour or two with or without the clots increasing please call nhs direct back and seek further advice..... i know you prob have there number but just incase 0845 46 47

Good luck tomorrow hun, i'll be thinking of you
