We've just got back from the hospital with Eds and I'm so proud of my little man. For those who don't know Eds has a rare eye condition where the white of his eye, particularly on the right eye, is very thin so the pigment is visable. He also have very dark pigmented eyes. He has check ups every year to check everything is ok with them. You can see what I mean here: Anyway he is doing really well. His eye sight is perfect and he has no squints or anything abnormal. The ophthalmologist was really impressed with his results! They also commented on how clever he was. He didnt enjoy the eye drops or pressure test but was much happier when he got his sticker for being a brave boy. I'm so relieved its over for another year, although I had no concerns over his eye sight its always nice to have it confirmed by an expert.

Well done Eds - what a brave boy.
Madz, Cameron has to go on Monday to the hospital - was referred from his eye test at school. He has to get eye drops in, and I'm dreading it! He can be quite awkward if doctors are trying to examine him at the best of times - he hates being poked and prodded. Is it quite easy for them to put the drops in?

I had to sort of pin him down and lots of the liquid escaped down his face but they said enough had got in. As soon as they offered him a sticker he calmed down again. I always find bribery is worth a try. Promise him a treat if he does well. Good luck!
