The very first post I put on this web site was how I could get Rachel to drink her bottle....I was sooooo worried.

I even went to the doctor with her, I was told her weight was perfect and to try and relax because she could sence my stress which made her uneasy during feeding.

One thing the doctor did tell me was to give her a bottle first thing when she wakes, that way she will be hungry enough to have a good bottle and a good start to the day. The other advice was to add glucose (she is on a lactose free formula so it can be bitter) or to change formula.

TBH I have to remind myself that when Rachel doesn't eat well, it' quaility rather than quantity.

I know being in the 2nd percentile is a worry, but once the doctor is ok about it I would try not to worry.

Fret not

Both my girls woulsn't look at milk from about 7 months old. IE as soon as they were eating regular meals. I managed about 4oz with their breakfast cereal and that was about it.

Out came yoghurt and fromage frais for what would have been bottle time and they both thrived.

Even now neither has milk on their cereals at breakfast. But try getting them to eat spag bol or mash without cheese on it! They replace the milk with other dairy naturally Kaitlyn will be just fine.

I dont know if there in the UK , I would assume so .  But hey isnt that what Moms in other countrys are for tho lol I can always search for them here and mail them lol  I actually have 2 in the pantry with a package of the replacement nets that I wont be needing anymore.  (maybe I should put them in the carboot section lol)

Hi jody..

i have one right here but I bought i different brand. Kailtyn took it as a toy and didnt start eating from it yet...i put a cookie in it and she was upset that she couldnt get it out LOL...shes too smart for it. Ill keep trying from this feeder..it works good as a teether too if i put ice in it but we;ll see how it goes. Thank you all for your advice...i should fret not. first thing when she wakes up, i try to give her the most milk as possible ( 4-5 oz) mix the leftover in her cereal...but she is loving her little cookies and she eats her solids so i suppose...maybe i weaned her too early??  No, the point is, she is healthy and yes you all are right!!

Whew...what mothers do for their los!

I wouldn't worry eitherhunny! If she's eating things and having somemilk and seems fine in herself then don't panic. As for percentiles and growth charts I'd try to ignore them. Ben's always been in the lowest percentile, and was even under it whilst he was litle, but he has always put on some weight when he's been weighed and is fine! Try not to get too bogged down with the charts and weights ect. Its a difficult time, weaning, but as long as she gets there in the end its not too important how she does it lol Good luck hunny!

I didt try putting a cookie in it lol I put cantalope(sp) and bananas in it then basically squished it a little in his mouth till he realised that there was something there hahaha

Not to worry tho im sure if shes hungry enough she will eat.  My Mom always says that a child will not starv themselves as long as food is offered to them.

Justin was a the Drs today and it 17 lbs and hes 11 months and James is 21 lbs and hes 3 yrs lmao both are health and eat when they want to :)
