Yes its me again!!  Ive just been for my flu jab.  Whilst I was there I started to feel a bit funny, shaky, dry mouth, dizzy, hungry, a wee bit angry () and was sweating buckets.  This is usually cured by eating something sweet.  Lately its been happening regularly, too regularly.

Aaaanyhoo, the nurse asked if I had diabetes, which I said no, went through a list of symptoms, two of which stuck out - blurred vision and weeing more frequently.  Hmmm shes suspicious.  Put an appointment on to see doc she says.

Soooo as well as having to do 10 rounds with Vein Man, Ive gotta have blood tests and do a wee dip stick test thingy tomorrow.  I wonder if its got summat to do with why my legs arent healing???

Also - I will let you all know what happens

If I were a horse or a dawgy I would have been shot long ago

Right then, where do I start?  Went to the docs, urine, bm and blood pressure all normal even though i was in the throes of a hypoglycemic attack.  Doc was as useful as a chocolate teapot (yup a locum), and still got nowt and I am no further forward.

So hobbled to the chemist cos they've got bm machines for four quid and also to get some glucose tablets, cos they really help to bring me round.  Went in and the conversation goes like this:

Q:  did you get sorted at the docs (had a word with the pharmacist yesterday and the shop assistants are very nosey)

A: no not really, Im no further forward.  was thinking of monitoring this myself.

Q: Hmm, are you sure you really need that?

A: Dunno, going for a second opinion, but I need something to go on.

Q: Are you sure its  not your medication thats making you go like that or your condition?

A: acutally Im not sure, the doctor didnt seem to think so.

Q: Maybe you should see your doctor again then?

A: (By now cos Im feeling very funny with this thing, Im starting to get agitated) Tell you what, you can keep the feckin machine, I'll get one from somewhere else (Chuck box on counter and hobble out)

Some people are just too bloomin nosey for their own good.

Told kev when I got home and hes sent their compliance unit a very 'nice' email!!!

For goodness sakes - how annoying for you. Definitely not her place to be questioning you like that, and as for the Doc....

Hope you are going to make another appointment and see someone else about this - mad that you've just been sent away being told they 'don't think' it's your medicine or condition that's causing it......what is it then?!

Hope you're feeling a bit calmer now.

xxx

I know how you feel chica...i dread going to pick up my prescription for tamoxifen...does my head in.

Now the guy is ace...takes prescription...fills it out and does whatever...brings it back, gives me a wink and says 'looking good young lady' hes reeeeaaaally old but it always makes me feel good.

Now the birds in there do my head in, they take prescription, take a double check of it, check it against the computer, ask if im sure i need these 'type' of pills...well duuuuuuuur its not like i can make up a prescription myself lol...then give you 'those' looks, you know the ones...which wind me up no end..and they always say sorry..which really really winds me up...mind you got to send joe out to pick mine up this week lol..
