Not sure if you remember a while back I posted about Lily getting her
adenoids out and grommets put in her ears

Well we got the appointment today and shes to go in for the op a
week on Monday - the 26th.

I thought she'd be in overnight but apparently she'll be able to go
home that afternoon

I am slightly nervous about it but I know it'll help her in the long run
so thinking positive

I'll let you know how she gets on

xx

I had my adenoids and my tonsils removed when I was 7. I know my mum was really scared as she hated putting her daughter into someone elses hands but she said it never gets easier, even when I have operations now and I'm nearly 24!

I'm sure she'll be fine, and it'll help her in the long run!

Good luck hun!

I had mine out at 3 and remember my trip to hospital as a big adventure!  She'll be fine, and it's good she'll be back home with you before you know it and not in overnight.  Stock up on the treats for her!

I had mine out at 4 and a bit...and was the exception to the rule...i was the obnoxious one in so many million lol...always have to be awkward...think i was in for about 3 weeks put it that way...plenty of jelly and ice cream for me...but they dont do that now...i do remember them trying to get me to eat a grilled tomato..yack lol...strange the things you remember.

Once shes had the op...as long as she proves she can eat they will let her out, good luck chica

Awww good luck hun, it's really hard being a mum, i think, we worry about them day in day out, our love and strength is constantly tested..... from the moment we try to/or have conceieved till they are old and wise.... (lol, or till we are no longer around, sorry if it's morbid)

But i also think this is what makes us good parents.... i think they say crisps etc are better than ice cream now days but stock up on all the naughty but nice bits.... it's hard to let my partner have anything done but to let my kids it's heart wrenching enough for the jabs but they are a nessesity (sp?)

Good luck hun.... keep us informed.... xxx

Dd and ds2 have both had grommets done, it is a day operation, as children do tend to recover quicker than adults! lol She will be fine, mommy will need tissues, even taking dd to theatre in the holidays for a simple general to have some teeth out I walked away crying! lol

Awww bless her.  It doesn't matter what anyone says as parents we all worry about our children being hurt, and especially on purpose!  I suppose it's feeling helpless.

The positive side is that her health will be improved.

Will look out for that update, doll.

Take care and huggles all round.  xxxx
