I'm feeling really low at the moment. I'm not sure what to put it down to. DH is away, Eds isnt sleeping and the dark days always get me down a little.

I've complained earlier in the week about my tiredness as Eds hasnt been sleeping and its worse today as we stayed at mums last night. I didnt get to sleep til gone 4am as Eds woke just as I went to bed and didnt settle til then, then he heard my dad at 7 so got up. My parents were going away for the weekend and when I got down they had left all the mess from the night before (mini children in need party) so I had to clear up and wash everything (I did the same last week as I was first up and cleared up a massive mess).

I met some friends down the pub for lunch but I really wasnt all there and didnt enjoy it at all. The I got back to find my brother had gone out and I didnt have a key - so I had to call a taxi and all my stuff is at mums so my brother will have to drop it round later.

As I got in I found out my neighbour is really unwell in hospital and might not make it (heart attack). Then DH called and I just burst into tears. He was really sweet and told he he's buying me a laptop and some kitchen bits I wanted but even that didnt cheer me up. Now I just feel like a zombie.

I'm going to wait until DH has been back a week or so and see how I'm feeling but I might have to chat to the doc about anti d's again.

Myabe being tired isn't helping you at all. Does Edward have a daytime nap? If he does use it to catch up on some lost sleep. I find when Im tired everyuthing just seems worse than it actually is. Last night Zarah wouldnt settle and I have been a walking zombie all day. If things dont get any better, thank like you said maybe a chat with the Gp will bring some clarity. I hope you feel a bit better soon. Take care x

Madz you sound like me at the moment but for different reasons.  I have felt totally crap this last week and have even considered going to the dr's myself.  Wonder if it's the weather.

I have to go away all next week on my own and am dreading it.  I spent most of yesterday in my office at work crying and most of this morning either crying or shouting at Keith.

I think for me it's the last year catching up with me.  It's nearly the anniversary of my first mc.  We would have been having our babies about now from the mc I had in May and then my Nan dieing last month about topped it off.  I have decided to stop charting and formally trying for a baby as the disapointment each month is just a killer.  We have been trying for 16 months now and it's just not happening so I have to face the fact it might never happen.

I try and look at the positive things and Ols does keep me going.  Sometimes life just seems a struggle and now is one of those times.

Hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry Sam! My moans are so minor compared to yours.

I do think the tiredness is a big part. And I know it sounds silly but its the first time DH has been away since we've been married and although I never thought it would make a difference it does feel strange. I always miss him so much and he's been really busy out there and with the time difference we havent been able to talk us much which I hate.

Eds has been cheering me up this afternoon though. When I got of the phone to Tony I was in floods of tears and eds gave me a huge cuddle and a kiss, went and got a cuddly toy for me and started reading fireman sam to me. He kept saying 'Its ok mummy' and 'I love you'. It was very sweet.

I need to have some lightbox time and see how I feel once I've had a couple of good nights sleep I think.

Hey chica....you are tired, the darker days dont help cos it hammers our seratonin, you are by yourself cos hubs is away and lil man being a lil monster at night.  You can only keep yourself going for a little while and then all it takes is something to push you over the edge.

Youve had a lot on your plate over the last few months what with getting married etc and believe it or not the stress from that is unbelieveable and takes a while to adjust to afterwards.

Take a look at what you have and what you have achieved chica.  Give over running round like a headless chicken being here there and everywhere.

Get yourself a hot brew, packet of choccie biccies, chick flick on the telly and jobs done....always a good excuse to bawl your eyes out i find.  Your doing fine birdy.

You can't compare your problems to mine and say they aren't as important of course they are.  Everyones problems are individual and difficult to handle because no one else can go through them for you only you so feeling down and depressed can be very isolating.

My friend at work who you put in touch with the lightbox people that you know is saying it helps her a lot.  Maybe it is something I should consider.  I don't know that I suffer from SAD as such but I do think this time of year can be difficult for anyone as it's cold and dark so much that it stops you going out.  Actually I never feel like going out at this time of year and would be happy to hibernate, next time I am coming back as a bear so I can hibernate.
