I am a meanie mum too. Bekah has been asking or a telly in her room since she was 3. There is no way I am having it. I love chit chatting to her as I am getting on with things and this just would not happen if she had a telly in her room. It would be constant strops and tantrums because she would want to watch tv in her room and I wouldn't want her to have it on. If I ever let her watch anything in her room I would never see her again and it would just cause too many fights. Bekah will literally sit glued to the telly no matter what is on it. She would watch the news, sport, programmes about buying and sellng houses, coronation street, anything. . We really have to monitor her tv watching.
