How can I get rid of it? Its on my right eye and quite sore and is making my contacts pop out. I know I shouldnt wear contacts but my glasses are broken. (think the extra use of contacts plus stress/tiredness of last week or so has brought it on.

I have had them before but cant for the life of me remember how I removed it!

Oh ouch. Not had one of those for years (touch wood!). I can't remember how I got rid of it - think you should bathe it with cooled boiled water, avoid wearing makeup etc. Can't even remember if I went to the docs or got drops for it - sorry.

Hope it clears up quickly - they are so painful.

xxx

Old Wives advice: Rub a gold ring around it ie a wedding ring works every time or so we are told!LOL

Boots advice: Brolene Eye Ointment!

I can only vouch for the Boots option, it cleared up in a couple of days.

I get styes all the time. What I do, as the doctor told me is that a stye comes from an infected eyelash base. Bathe your eye in warm water, find the eyelash thats the culprit and pull it out. It works every time for me, not pleasant but it works.
