I am bf but trying to wean ds to formula. Thought i would do this by cutting out one feed at a time since i am due back to work in a couple of months and want ds to have a routine by then. Having problems - he is not taking formula easy - he took 3oz today cause i stayed firm and didn't give in and he was hungry. Anyone any good tips? Or do i just need to persevere and keep trying daily?

How old is your son?
I think if you really want him to take formula then it is probably perseverance to get him to do it. The older you leave it to wean onto formula milk the harder it gets as babies don't like the taste of it by about 8 months old if they are not used to it.
Is there no way you can carry on breastfeeding if you want to and still work?

thanks. Kenzie is 16 almost 17 weeks. I am using MAM bottles. He was taking expressed milk from a bottle then he just refused everything. Not getting much by expressing anymore so wanted to start giving formula to get him used to it by the time i go back to work. I cant really express at work. But i hope to be able to still carry on breastfeeding in the morning and at night if i can. I have been persevering this week with one bottle a day and he is not screaming as much but we still have a fight. I will carry on for a couple of weeks - hopefully it will get better.
