Drove with previous 2 pregnancies right up until the end. Don't remember having issues with bump and steering wheel. This pregnancy though everytime I get in and out the car my bump must hit the horn on the steering wheel. The whole street knows it is me leaving. Don't want any of them worrying about where I am so I hoot on my return as well .

I have a corsa and forget to move the seat back when I am getting out which explains why I hoot alot. I keep forgetting the bump is there. Don't know how when I am only 33 weeks but measuring 39 weeks and amniotic fluid reading level was so high it didn't fit on the chart. The joys.

If I felt I was becoming unsafe then I probably would stop driving. God knows how I would cope but there are ways round these things. Think they are called buses and trains .  Although you may not want to go on public transport now you are so far on.

You haven't long to go now so I suppose you can manage to live without the car for a couple of weeks.

hello - when my waters broke i called the hospital & asked if i could drive myself there but the answer was NO!

So maybe its ok to drive right up till your waters braek (or until it's not comfortable)

good luck

It was a case of neccessity for me to drive right to the end.  Both of my pregnancies happened in West Africa  - no public transport, dodgy taxis and husband working.

I was huge, but drove an extremely old, tank of a Mercedes, which housed me well.

My advice would be follow your gut instinct.  Do you really need to be driving or can it wait?
