I haven't posted for a while as I've had a couple of rubbish weeks.
I went for an early scan two and a half weeks ago and found that
my baby was measuring 1 to 2 weeks behind but did have a heart
beat. I was really worried as I was sure of my dates. I was booked
in for another scan for last Wednesday which should have been me
at 10 weeks, which confirmed what I already knew in my heart - that
they baby had died. I was booked in for an evacuation on Friday
which went as smoothly as can be expected and now I'm left to
decide whether I want to start over again.
My hubby, family and friends -especially Lynie- have been so
wonderful. I suppose I just can't believe I'm going through this
again, but I know that there are lots of you out there who know how
I feel. I think I could accept it better if I had bled or had some sort
of pain that I could pin on it but the silent nature of it all makes it all
the harder. I've only really bled for two days as it is ebbing away
already. I hope that is a good sign (please let me know if it is or not
if you know)- the doc did say he feels he got everything away
cleanly.
I keep telling myself at least it's not as bad as the last time - I was a
further on and this time I have 3 fab kids to keep me going, but
keeping a brave face for them is tiring and my oldest is starting to
worry. Tonight she asked me if the thing I was sick with would I ever
get better from. She had tears in her eyes- god that was hard. I just
tried to reasre her mummy was just tired and that I would be good
as new soon - then I just went down the stairs and cried my eyes out
again.
Anyway going to go and put my feet up -again -and just try to get on
and take my time about things. Not much else to do.

All i can do is to offer my deepest sympathys to you and your family.
I most certainly wont patronise you by offering advice on how to deal with this, you do what you need to.
But i can completely understand how hard and heartbreaking it is to put a brave face on things and carry on when it comes to your other children.
I am really, really sorry to hear of your sad news, my heart always drops when i read a post like this.
Sending you my thoughts and prayers.

Awww hunny, firstly a huge big hug as i think you need it ((    ))

I'm glad that Lynie has been able to be there for you and have had the support of family and friends.

Not knowing the endless whys and what ifs really can eat away at you, and i know without answers it's almost impossible to do but you have to try and find away. I have never been though this myself so i can't advise you on the bleeding side of things but i have had many conversations with my mum and friends whom have all been there too.

As for your mood hun your allowed to be sad, angry etc, but it's hard to explain to kids, you need to allow yourself to mourn for you baby. I know this may sound a little daft but you need too. As for your eldest it's lovely that she loves you so much and cares for you but if you let her know that you had a poorly tummy and the docs had to sort help you out to start the road to recovery.... it might take a while before you fully better but you will be the mum they know again.... but your just a little sad as your tummy got poorly.... (depending on her age this should help her understand why it is hard being smily and happy all the time, and with christmas looming it must be a little harder.

I know it's not the same but to give you an idea, My eldest was 4 when i was pg with my 2nd and i had bad morning sickness, he thought i was going to die because i keep throwing up and passing out. After a little reassurance that it was a tummy bug (easiest way to explain it at the time) he was happier knowing i wasn't going anywhere.

Big hugs and kisses hun. I wish you all the best and i hope things start to get better for you soon x

Really sorry to hear you have had to go through this again.  With my first missed miscarriage I had an ERPC and had very little bleeding so don't worry about that side of things.  I did find my first af was heavy and crampy.

The grief with a miscarriage is like no other grief you ever have to go through because it is so lonely.  No one else shares the pain with you.  When someone dies everyone is upset and you can draw some comfort from that when you loose your baby it's much harder.  Take each day as it comes.  Focus on your children, I found mine a great comfort and still do.

As for trying again, take your time.  I really wanted to have another baby straight away after both my mc's but after the last time it just hasn't happened.  In a strange way it's a relief now as I know I couldn't have handled going through it for a 3rd time.  I look at my lovely kids and am really glad that I have them, there will always be a little hole for me in my family but it is getting eaiser to live with everyday now.

If you need a chat or just want to scream you know where we are xx

You are such a beautiful, special person who I think the world of.

You're the best friend anyone could ever have.

I can't believe you're going through this, there's just no rhyme or reason to events sometimes.

I'll give you a wee call later-

xxx

So sorry to hear your very sad news! Hope, in time, that you can get through this. But don't feel rushed into anything, give yourself time to heal physically and emotionally xx

I'm so sorry to hear this has happened. Nothing really that I can add - the other ladies summed up how I feel - but am thinking of you.
