We didn't find out. We still didn't want to know when we found out it was twins. They asked us if we wanted to know but we refused. I think that going through 9 months of pregnancy and all the hard work its nice to have a surprise at the end of it. what ever you decide goodluck and hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly. xxxxx

I found out with all my pgs, Im too impatient and hate surprises! So far the sonographer has been correct with Adam and Zarah, so hoping she got it right with this one too! Because everything for this baby is very girly!

My husband and I are going for a private scan this Saturday. It is an early christmas presents to ourselves and because we are both desperate to find out and counldn't wait until my 20 week scan on 21st December. My mother in law had made it quite clear that we are not to tell her the sex, but my parent are quite excited to find out. The main reason for finding out is to help with the preparation, I can't stand beige or lemon so hopefully we will be able choose a nice colourful theme for the baby's room.

There are 3 maternity hospitals nearish to me, 2 will tell you the sex if you want to know, 1 won't. I did find out with Ella and I will with this one, but we kept it to ourself so that it was our secret.
I found that it helped me to connect to the baby knowing she was a girl. That said, its not a 100% guarentee and I do know a lady who was told she was carrying a boy at a 20 week scan and then gave birth to a girl!

I still don't really know what twin B is as it has been in funny positions every scan! So I'm looking forward to a wee surprise with that one!
At our hospital they have signs all over the scanning department asking people not to ask the sex of their baby as it's against hospital policy- but as I've had so many scans due to them being twins and we are well known to the sonographer- she's been trying to give us an accurate update at each scan.
I've heard so many stories about them getting it wrong I suppose it is really a bit of a surprise until you hold them in your arms. Unless you get an amazing 3D scan...

Hun as you know ive not been pg yet so i cant answer to well but i had always said before we started ttc that i wouldnt want to know but since having so much trouble ttc i have thought abit more on it and think i would cave in wanting to know . However i do know of a woman who got told that she was having a girl which would have been her first girl (already had a son ) but they got it wrong and out popped a boy . It really is personal choice and i think whatever you and dh oh and lo decide will be right 4 u .
Madz if you went to Hinchingbrooke they have now changed there policy and will tell you it got changed about sept 06 .

When I had my first ones, it was not policy to tell you, my first was a blue surprise, my 2nd I found out a week befoer I had him when I had an emergency scan, my dd wouldn't let anyone know until she popped out, both the last 2 I found out were boys at the half way mark, but I really regretted knowing. I wished I'd left them as a surprise, it is much better that way. I just didn't want dd waiting until the last minute as she really wanted a sister, (which we didn't get for her).

At the time I had DD (now 8), our local NHS didn't tell you what you were having so she came as a complete surprise. I'm now 29 weeks pregnant with my second and after deep discusions with DH, we decided we did want to know what this baby was going to be. We found out at our 23 week scan that we're having another girl It's been a completely different experience knowing that Millie (bump) is a girl cos since that scan it's felt more like she's a real little person and that we've been able to better bond with her cos we all talk to my belly by name hehehe. There's also of course the bonus of being able to buy lots of pink and girly stuff in preparation for her arrival.
I can't say that not knowing Jessie's sex made my pregnancy with her any less exciting or fulfilling, but I can definitely say that if ever we had another baby after Millie (which just for the record is very unlikely LOL) we'd defnitely find out the sex again
