Well its been one thing after another with Ashleigh. She fractured her collar bone, then came down with my flu bug i had. She then came down with conjunctivitous (sp). Now she has a viral infection which is awful.

She started off at tea time trying to rip her top off and scrathing like mad. I took her top off and she was red all over the top of her arms and chest. She had hives and she was really irritated by it. At first i thought it was an allergic reaction so i took her to the docs. He told me it's a viral infection. It's from her cold that she has. I have seen viral infections before but not like this. He has told me to give her piriton to help with the irritation. I put her to bed at 6 and she has since got up and they are covering her legs tummy and arms again. She is ok unless you touch them they are obviously sore. I really don't know how to make her feel better.

I just hope its the last of the illness for a while. xxxx

My ds was really ill last year with one thing after another, his viral infection gave him a limp as it affected his joints, i do remember it took a while for everything to be back to normal.

Wishing you well Ashleigh

Awww, She is going through the mill just lately isnt she!
I hope she's a little more comfortable now and has managed to get some sleep?
Sounds terribly painful for her, especially when there isnt much else you can do apart from wait for the med's to start working.
Soft, cotton wool cuddles to her.

Awww hun i hope she gets better soon.

Viral infections can be very nasty depending on which part of the body they decide to attack, my dp was admitted to hospital 2yrs ago nearly now with suspected menengitus ( i was 7/8mths pg) but it turned out to be a viral infection that had managed to affect the spinal cord fluid giving him all the signs and symptoms. (apart from the rash, had a full hospital convinced it was the big bad m).... either way if in about hun get her checked out, keep an eye on her

I don't mean to scare you just letting you know how bad i've known them to be.

Aw poor wee soul. Hope Ashleigh (and you!) got some sleep last night, and she's feeling a bit more comfortable this morning.

xxx

Poor Ashleigh. Hope she is feeling a little better today?  Dont you feel totally useless when they re ill? You cant do anything for them apart from cuddles, and even that must be sore with a rash like that.(I  had an allergic reaction to Actimel yoghurts in the summer and came out in hives like you described, it was horrible, didnt want the kids near me!!)

sending you all a gentle hug
