Today really could not start any worse lol After a chain of events creating the worst morning in my history, at 8.43am I added the icing to my day's cake! I forgot to top up my electric the other day, despite buying the tokens lol, so it went off and I had to find the tockens I knew I had bought. I found them and opened the cupboard. I've got a chair next to it which is slightly moved move to allow room for the Christmas tree, I leant over it as usual and put the first token in, looked up for the second, leant back down and bash.. I hit the corner of my eye onto the corner of a wooden frame. I have a small cut right on the corner, and it swelled up and went really red. I've still got a panging headache and the area is really sore to touch. Its not as swollen and the bruise is minimal but Joshua keeps pointing it out. The whole area is tender and I have a feeling it may bruise some more as it looks a tingy blue colour all round the socket. Least its not a bright purple bruise lol It really hurts though

Babes what a pants start.... try the ice pack but for no more than 10 mins at a time.... if it's really tender i think you should consider getting it checked at a&e.
Do you have any blurred vision? nausea? headache? sensitivity to lights? diffictuly opening the eys? is the area around it to sore to touch? if you answer yes then you should go get checked hun.... better safe than sorry....
I do hope you feel better soon and that your day starts to get better soon

Just headache, but to be expected pmsl Its cold enough without an ice pack mind lol Its still tender but Im sure it'll settle hehe Its only a tinge of blue colour so I dont think its going to bruise really bad now, ha ha I'll wake up in the morning with a purple shiner for saying that lol Thanks though, Im smiling about it now, well trying to lol Everyone else is laughing so might as well join in hehe

Dont laugh it blinking hurt pmsl Well its stayed a blue tinge of colour, but still mega tender to touch or when I yawn, cough, sneeze (which I do often lol). I know to move the chair next time hehe so least I learnt from it pmsl - oh and Joshua learnt not to laugh while mummy is trying really hard not to cry and swear lol

When Jamie decided to slam the door on my fingers (thinking it was his sister coming into his room!!) I swore profusly (sp!!??) and had to start a swear jar!!!
Its a good job it was my hand in the door, he would have chopped his sisters fingers off!
Hope your eye doesnt match the Christmas baubles too much in the morning?!?!
