Grrrrr.

Can't sleep due to massive heartburn attacks as soon as I think about lying down.  I've taken all the remedies and have at least 5 pillows propping me up.  I swear these babies are going to come out like wee hairy gorillas.

Aww hun you are having a pants run at the moment.... as for sleeping positions or should i say attempted sleeping positions i think your on the right track.....

Can only suggest 2 things.... when your propped up on your mini mountain of pillows have one under your bump and between your knees and lie on your side but inclined....i suggest your lieing to your left side as it's better for you and bubs...

If that fails sleep sitting up right in a chair.... feet up on a stool or another chair to make sure you don't get swelling in your ankles.... get one of those travel chusions (sp?) for your neck (there's some nice one's in tesco soft and squishy) and try that way.....

Sorry hun not really much help really, i do hope things settle down quickly for you...oh and it's only something like 11/12 days left till they're here! Take care and good luck with everything xxx

I take it the Gaviscon isnt working?!  I went through bottles and bottles of the stuff and as you know, Lewis came out with a full head of hair plus more on his body (which soon disappeared I hasten to add!

I can only suggest the same as Tsena - sleep sitting up - I know its not the best but it may grab you a few hours kip hunny.

Good luck and hope it subsides enough for you to get some sleep xxxx

Awww hun you have my complete sympathy; heartburn sucks

I have suffered with chronic heartburn from about 18 weeks onwards and I can't take any medication for it, for the fear I'll have a reaction because of the other meds I'm on. I've discovered that drinking lots of milk and sleeping with pillows propping up my head and shoulders (so my head is well above the level of my body) is the only way I can keep heartburn at bay.

Argh!  I have every sympathy being a fellow sufferer of heartburn while pregnant.

My doctor was my salvation.  He was prescribe me huge bottles of Pepacid (or something similar sounding) - Gaviscon didn't work on me.

I would chew endlessly on extra mints as well.

And both babies had a mop of thick curly hair!

I do get heartburn when pregnant but only occassionally. Needless to say, neither of my girls were born with a great deal of hair. Not long to go now. Hope you are managing to get some sleep.
