I got a BFN today and I can't believe how happy I am about it . I've
been testing every 3 days since my MMC and ERPC on the 30th of
November just hoping my body starts to sort itself out naturally. My last
MC was Partial Molar and it took nearly 5 months for the HCG to leave
my system so seeing it go so quickly had really cheered me up. Anyone
got any ideas when I should expect an AF - yes I know how long is a
piece of string- by anyone's experiences would be great. But for the
time being I'm HCG free and well chuffed. -Hope it's not for too long
though!!**(fingers and toes crossed)

As you know it's hard to tell when to expect AF.  The strange thing about hcg and mc as well is even though you can get a positive hcg you can still ovulate in that time too.  I ovulated a week before I got a bfn and af arrived the week after the bfn on my second mc.  My cycles returned to normal fairly quickly getting af around day 30 after both mc's.  It can take much longer though.  Mw's tend to say you need 2 weeks clear of any bleeding before you can say af has arrived but I spotted until I ovulated for the second time after both my mc's and had af.  Everyone is different.  It can be a mixed emotion trying for a bfn too....

Thanks for your reply Sam. I bled, on and off, for two weeks with a
couple of spells where I flooded(TMI) those gave me a real fright. I
ended up back in hospital with one of them.I would be delighted if my
AF returned tow weeks after that , as I metioned the last MC left me
without any cycle for 5 months which drove me crazy. I just want to
feel I have confidence in my own body again. I'm sure you know what I
mean. I'm beginning to feel a little like I'm my own private science
experiment with all this testing!

I had a partial molar but my results were effected because I had a superfetation pregnancy as well, ovulated whilst still having hcg in my system and got pregnant so I cant tell you how long it was before I got a normal af. As soon as I gave birth 4 weeks later I had my cycle back. Hopefully your cycle will correct itself now that the hcg is out of your system, but as you say .. how long is a piece of string? I am still waiting for an af, over 3 years from my last one coming off the injection! Hope everything quickly returns to normal for you xx
