Recently Louis has started shouting at absolutley everything.  He no longer talk's but shouts.  Its driving me insane.

He just sits and shouts or when were out he screams in his pushchair.  Not in fustration or anything like that he sits happily shouting.

I've tried telling him to quieten down, whispering to him but he continues to shout.

Help...My ears cant take anymore.  I know toddlers are loud but by god, not this load and I've never known one to shout as much as LJ

Tom shouts, but always has so I'm used to it.  He's just a feisty little thing and won't be told so he often ends up being scolded. When it bothers Max he'll put his hand over his loud brother's mouth much to my relief...

At Daycare they have a game where they teach the little ones to go quieter and quieter until they're whispering - it works for them, but not me!

My favourite is telling Tom that the baby next door is sleeping.  He then proceeds to go around the house shhhhing everyone because of the 'bubie'.

Oh, and have you tried shouting back?  It's good fun just to see them jump!

Oh the joys of toddlers, eh!

Both my girls shout really bad. Alot is agression with my pair though as me and dp haven't been getting on lately and now the girls are showing signs. We have realised we have to be more calm with the girls and each other.

Thats another thing though. They love shouting though no matter what or what mood they are in lol. it really is a toddler thing.

I have also noticed the more you tell them to be quiet the more they do it and if they hear its really loud they like that to.

So please don't take him to church he will never shut up pmsl. xxxxxxxx

At least Louis isnt the only one then.

Its my neighbours i feel sorry for when at 6am he decides to sing jingle bells at the top of his voice Not very funny at that time, but at least he knows the words.

Zo - I've tried the baby one, next door does have a baby and he sshh's for all of two seconds then attempts to make crying noises whilst laughing.

This is one thing I clearly remember Joishua doing lol Now that he is a bit older I can stop him and ask him to quieten down. When his volume starts to rise I just remind him that he doesn't have to shout. I let him have dedicated noisey time, with his instruments lol.. usually in another room or outside rofl but in the most cases it seems to work. He just gets loud when he's excited so I have to try calm him down while talking to me. Hopefully he'll soon learn that he doesnt have to shout xxx

Hiya babe, he hasnt had a cold recently has he? maybe his ears are a bit bunged up with gunge? maybe he just enjoys shouting!!

I second the idea of getting some ear plugs!! when my boys were about 2, Jamie went through that stage and Matt had disappeared off somewhere upstairs, when I went to look for him, he said his brother was too loud, and came out of my bedroom with tampax hanging out of his ears saying these might help not hearing Jamie!!!

I nearly wet myself laughing!!
