it's not just that (I've had really bad excema, it's calmed down a lot
now)

wee one's kidneys can't process salt, and giving salty foods can
damage them.

im also worried about salt & anything that might giv him probs in the future

also need 2 keep an eye on Ryan cause i had reactions 2 alot of fruits & juicy things (tomatoes, gravy, bean juice) wen i was little - in that my chin went bright red & hot. ryan gets a little rash around his mouth with certain fruits on their own but is fine if they're mixed with something else atm

i agree about the salt thing

tom has had a wee bit of readybrek, but i prefer to give him his daily portion of mashed up banana and baby rice for brekkie

i was put out though when the bloomin' hv had a go at me for weanin tom at 15 weeks. they change their minds about health matters all the time i can't keep up with them

grrrrrr

Weaning is such an individual thing, its impossible to set hard and fast rules. I kept Ella on milk for as long as I could, but she was drinking between 40 and 50 oz of SMA white a day!! So I weaned her at 15 weeks. My friends daughter is 2 weeks younger than Ella, weighed 1 oz less at birth and has followed the same line as Ella and is still happy on SMA gold and not at all interested in food!

I wish I could have hung off weaning Ella, but there was no way I could. You just have to do what you feel is best.
