Ahh Zo, Im sure everyone will have a few blips, I have already!! (shortbread - sorry I NEED to finish it).

Im tucking into my daily porridge - which actually isnt that bad - especially when its freezing cold outside!

I have definately lost some weight - cos my knickers wont stay up  and also there is one pair of trousers in my wardrobe that cut me in half when I put them on - wore them yesterday and they were comfortable!!!  I know that what I have lost is water - bloomin eck I must be like a water bowser!!!!!

Well today is day 5 on my diet and its been going really well so far - i mea i know it should after only 5 days but hey lol I mean i cant deny i dont miss all the goodies etc as that is my downfall BUT it needs to be done so ive just gota grin and bare it LOL It helps that dp is healthy eating and eating mostly the same kind of meals as me which is nice to have the support! (he doesn't need to lose weight but he keeps an eye on it as he has been heavier in the past!) Is anyone elses partner offering support and sorta joining in?

Must say that all this fresh fruit and veg costs a fortune!! I mean we always buy it but not in this quantity! :)

I agree they push people to eat healthier but junk certainly is cheaper than healthy food.... which to me seems wrong.....

I feel personally if they made fruit, veg and meat cheaper familys would all eat a lot healther.

Its hard to make fruit and veg a lot cheaper because of the weather we have. The prices vary depending on the availability, and especially with the floods last year so much was wasted and land was ruined. Tesco do good deals, making 5 fruit and veg half price, not sure if its a daily turn over or weekly but they do do different things throughout the month. I think Sainsburys do 5 different coloured fruit and veg on offer (not sure though - but someone does lol)

Fruit and veg does seem very expensive, but when you stop buying processed foods and make your own using the fresh foods you'll soon feel the difference. It can cost £1 for instance for a jar of pasta sauce, but all the veg and passatta sauce only comes to about £1 for making enough for 2-3 (which is similar to that of 1 jar) I hardly go any further up a supermarket than the fresh and fridges sections as we dont buy much else, unless Joshua needs baps for school lol Its a lot tastier too when you make your own sauces etc

I havent weighed myself since being at my mum's, but I seem to feel like Ive lost a fair bit,t hen feel as big as a house the next day. I can slip my jeans down without undoing the zip so that has got to be a good sign lolol

I'll be weighed Saturday! I have days where I feel great, and days where I feel and look like a beached whale, so we'll see. I dont have any scales here (or I'd be on them all the time lol) so I only weigh when Im at my parents. Theie scales remember your last weight, and calculate the BMI.. so it will tell me how Im doing pmsl

Fingers crossed!

Zoe: dont worry about your weight gain, as zany just said things will come back to normal when the kids are back! Its no wonder you're wanting to comfort eat babe... stop worrying you look great anyway!
