I had some good news today.  I don't normally weigh myself I just go on the clothes feel too tight or clothes are falling down theory.  Well I knew I had lost some weight as one of my trouser suits for work I can't ware now because they will literally fall down.

I had to go to the hospital for a routine check up for my UC today and I have lost 9lb.  We haven't been strict on the GI diet, I have stopped drinking fruit juices and coke.  We use skimmed milk instead of semi and I have just been generally trying to eat more fruit and veg.  I don't really eat a lot of chocolate anyway if I don't buy it I won't go out of my way to get some so just stopped putting it on the shopping order.  So not made huge changes but have been "good".

Quite chuffed with the weight loss but where as everything was feeling too tight, it's now all feeling too loose and I have nothing to ware!!

Well done Sam!

I have that problem too - I got rid of all my size 8s as I was convinced I'd never get back into them - so now I am swamped in my large size 10s and having to borrow jeans off my mum!!!

(and before u all shout - I am small framed so as a large size 10 I was overweight for my height and build)

Pmsl I'd be happy with a massive size 12 too pmsl

well done on your weight loss Sam! Just shows how much the little changes can help. I felt a huge difference just stopping drinking the pop, I now occassionally have diet Coke but thats it.

Ive managed to loose 4lb since returning from my holiday. My plan is too keep going, and well post my weight on Monday as planned and just keep going lol Im really excited about loosing weight now, I dont know why but something inside me feels much more driven lol (Im making the most of it while it lasts lol)

I knew I put this on here you'd all have a go at me - I know I dont need to lose much but my weight was getting me down as it wasnt as I should have been.

I am just over 5ft. I dont know about BMI or anything but I was always happy at 8st 6oz - however SPD and the depo injection put me up to 9st 12oz which I was misserable at because it wasnt  me.

Since this SPD flare up I have already gone up about the 9st mark.

Madz at 5ft, 8st 6lb is ok to aim for that isn't under weight.  I am 5ft 3in and I am meant to aim for about that but to be honest I am not small boned and if I go under 9 stone I start to look thin and hollow in the face.  If you are small built then that weight sounds fine.  I was pushing a size 16 before I started cutting down but mostly caused by having been on steriods for a year.  I am now back down to a baggy size 14 but if I go to a size 12 it's a tight size 12 so maybe I should be a size 13.....

Welome aboard Lynie but make sure you get all the calories you need for breastfeeding too!!

Nikki it takes time to loose weight don't get down about it.  Stick with the GI diet and don't over eat.  I have found the best tip I ever heard was eat until you feel like you have had enough and then stop.  Keith does all our cooking and he gives me loads of food, I used to try and eat it all so he didn't get upset but I physically couldn't so was stuffed.  I now normally only eat half of what he gives me which I know sounds like a waste but the dogs are fed very well.....

Well done and good luck everyone else, oh and not too many Easter Eggs on Sunday or Hot cross buns today...
