It would be so much easier!!

HR thing went well...then bimbled up to see the oncologist.

Told me I looked lovely, which was nice.  Apparently I looked a completely different person now that treatment had finished...he then took one look at me when I took my coat off and said...hmmmmm you HAVE lost a lot of weight...hmmm, so I said yup and ive not done anything to warrent it either.

So he went through how I was doing on the tamoxifen...and in a nutshell...sore ankles, sore wrists, thats tamoxifen...deal with it.  Which is fair dos.  I said about the hysterectomy...and he asked if they took the ovaries so i said yes, and he said good good cos thats what he was going to talk to me about today but he didnt have to.  He asked if I had any tummy pain, and I said that after the hysterectomy its only been in the last 3 weeks where ive not been in constant pain, just the occasional twinge..and he said...hmmmm.  He asked if i was eating and i said yes..but I have to force myself as I just dont have any appetite at all which is not like me at all.

So had to 'pop' onto the table to be examined...so he had a good check of the non-boob area...then checked the other boob...checked my armpit, where i promptly collapsed giggling..well it tickled!  He then went hmmmm and got me to turn round, so still sitting he checked my neck and collarbone area..i know he was checking lymph nodes out..and said hmmmm...i dont like it when the poison guy says hmmmm!  So lay down, and he did all his checks..and then started prodding and poking round my belly...aaaand then started muttering to himself and then told me to get dressed...while hes telling the nurse he wants bloods, scans etc...so im behind the curtain thinking oh pants now what!

So went back in..sat down...and said...right then...how many needles you sticking in me today!  He laughed and said just the one.

I got sent to have liver functionallity tests done, which was the blood tests ive had done today.  My liver is 3 times the size that it should be, im being referred for an urgent liver ultrasound and a full body scan.  I should get the letter through in the next few days.  He thinks, although he cant feel any lumps on the outside...he thinks that it has come back in my liver.

Which is not good...as obviously, youve only got the one..so its not as if they can chop it out.  He has said that its still good my bloods were clear in the october..but its amazing what can happen in just a few weeks..gee thanks doc!

So there we go ladies...here we go again.

I wish I had the right words steph. I keep rewriting this post I am struggling to find the words (without swearing)

Life is unfair, we all know that, but it does seem to have been far more unfair to you. I really hope this is a false alarm for you babes.

Either way, we are all here for you!
