God Steph you amaze me more every day! You are such a strong person and if anyone is going to beat this then its you. I really believe that!

Thanks guys.  It does mean more than you can ever imagine knowing that ive got you all there.

As ive said before I am trying my best...and am having several one way chats with 'him upstairs' put it that way.....so methinks he wont get me...cos I wouldnt want to be in his shoes the other side of the pearly gates put it that way!

Thing is though guys, its happening to me, so that makes it easier.  I dont have to deal with feeling like a chocolate fireguard like everyone else, I dont have to watch what happens to me, whereas everyone else does..if that makes sense.  So in a way its easier for me, cos ive just got to suck it up and get on with it.

Telling you now...if I have to have a laparoscopy...im getting a room to myself, there is no way on this planet im going on the main ward..i couldnt cope with any more american patients (more than willing to smother the last one), and I really really dont want to listen to the rosary being said all night...still havent figured out what that little old biddy had done wrong!

Babe you are so amazing and all the things you have to deal with is so unfair but i'm like you its life. I hope to god that things do turn out to be wrong but if not they find the right treatment for you.

Your moving up this way soon i hope and i would like to think that i could still come round. I went through this with my Grandma so i know pretty much how everyone around you feels. I don't know how you really feel and i have no idea so i won't say i know.

I have tried to write this post so many times over but everything just seems so wrong to put. If you just want a normal chat then give me a shout or if you need to talk to someone who will give it straight like you again give me a shout.  xxxxxxxxxx

Heya Steph

Pants news....but your attitude is great.

I work in our good old NHS and might have something you can mention to your poison guy should the worst be confirmed.

There is a pioneering consultant at my hospital who is I believe the first in the world to be using a new technique for zapping liver mets. It's called microwave ablation and basically nukes those pesky cells. I'm not sure where you are in the country or where you're moving too, don't think it should matter though as I've nursed a guy from Austrailia who came all the way here as he felt this was his best shot.

Anyway, PM me if you want all the details.

Who know's maybe I'll get to stick some needles in you if the worst comes to the worst.....now where did I put the big ones?

Steffers - I have one word for you - WOW.  You go girlie, you are a very sensible woman and I know you have been thinking about this for a while, and I know that you will try your damnest to make sure that Joe and the girls are taken care of.

Also with this new job, new house you have something to look forward to and to keep you going.  And also as you have quite rightly said, you have us - and you DO have us, call on us any time you like birdy.

We love ya Steffers, keep fighting hunny, you are doing a grand job!!

Steph, You've beat this once and shown everyone just how strong and tough you are.

You've shown the medics the true steffers! and only you could make us laugh when its you that has done all the fighting.

I hope and pray that god is kind to you and give's those gorgeous girls of yours many many more years of fun their mum
