We all had this a while ago, and it was nasty. The girls suffered for 3 days, Simon 2 days, but i was lucky with only being sick for 7 hours, but still felt pants for the next 2 days,..

I heard on the radio that its best to keep the ill person inside, not to take them out for 2 days after the vomiting finishes, just to stop it passing on to someone else.

I hope he gets better really soon.. and fingers crossed you dont all catch it.. nasty nasty bug..

Ok so i was having a bout of wishful thinking.... he started up again at 10, 2, 3, and 5.... he's so thirsty its really hard limiting him as he gets in a right state and is sick anyway.

He's keeping water down for 15mins before he up chucks so at least some of it's getting in his system..... even though it doesn't look like it.... so thats good.....I just can't believe how much can come out of someone so small. Here's hoping to day brings less washing and scrubbing than yesterday.

Hi all just thought i'd give you an update....

Kristian's still puking and pooing like i've never seen before but is keeping some water down so isn't dehyradting.... thinking i might call doc tomorrow just to get him checked as he's been like this since friday 2am.

Kieran (my eldest) has been complaining all day he's feeling icky and now at 7.30 he's throwing up too

Dp has had the squits since last night 10pm....... and after taking anti runs meds is toilet free....

Me well who know's i'm plodding along hoping i don't get it and washing and scrubbing the floors and furniture (now with sodium bicarb)!

So a question if i haven't made you feel rough by reading this.... would you be ringing the docs or leave it be?? I'm in 2 minds but i can't keep going i have no energy and burst into tears every time one of them pukes.......

Any advice or opinions greatfully recieved.

I'd possibly ring re: the wee one, Tsena. Just seems an awful long time for him to be throwing up to that extent. What a shame - for all of you. I'm not surprised your upset - you must be exhausted. I have everything crossed that you don't get the bug too. Let us know how you all are. Big hugs to you all.

xxx

Hi all

I call the doc yesterday as Kristian's still producing at both ends... she was concerned too that he's still going and asked to see him at the end of surgery today.....

Well he has 48hrs to turn around or face being admitted.... his vomiting has gotten less but it's still a huge battle to get small amounts down him and it's near on impossible to explain it. He's not too badly de-hydrated so I must have been doing something right.... but he is starting to show signs (he had just puked prior to going into her room! lol). He now has the blackcurrant di-hydralate mix to replace squash and hopefully this will help to settle his tummy down too and give him a better balance of salts and minerals in his tummy.

Well 200mls seems impossible for him to drink a day, after each bout, as he's been lucky too keep 100mls down.... so I mixed it up as soon as though the door, had a sip myself and said yum (not I’m thinking) and he takes a sip and judders like yuk! but has polished off 2oz tonight and has then kept so far (touch wood) 6 oz of milk at 2oz intervals 30mins apart down so here's hoping.

He slept last night from 10.30 till 4 and went straight back to sleep.... didn't want anything just woke grumbling and went back off. He's had 1 really bad nappy this morning so I'm just waiting for the top end to join in! He's refusing to touch the mix this morning so I’m hoping he'll take it later.

I'll keep you all posted.... oh dh is better and so is ds1 (Kieran) he only had the one spell..... So I’m hoping I’ve missed it, I really am..... Thank you for all your help and advice I do worry sometimes that I’m being an ott mum and wrapping them in cotton wool too much!

When they are like this, it's never ott to talk it through with other moms or take them (well hassle the doc to come out). If he won't drink the yuk mixture, try diluting it with other squash if you can, or what some moms do, play a game using a syringe, he may not like the taste, but might love the game of you trying to get it in him! I can't believe these bugs can last so long or how much comes out of 1 little boy, but at least the doc is now helping you through this. Hope he gets well soon.
