Hi everyone, was after some good advice again on early signs of pregnancy. Its now been 7 months since i started ttc and no such luck yet, however this past couple of days i have been getting mild cramps almost period like, with this i have a very small amount of brown blood (not enough for a liner) and almost thick like, the type you get towards the end of your period. My period is due in just over a week. Any Thoughts???

Brown blood is old blood, so I wouldn't have though it has anything to do with the period that is due. I'm not sure what colour blood you'd expect from an implantation bleed. Keep an eye on it, and have a hot bath or hot water bottle for the crampy pains. Hope you get your BFP soon xx

Brown blood is deoxygenated blood and normally means it has taken a while to come down into the cervix can mean it has come from high up in the womb.  It isn't old blood just blood with no oxygen in it anymore.  I get cramps the week before my period is due and quite often get brown or red spotting.  All you can do is wait and see.  It could be the lining of the womb breaking down slowly and slightly early.  Implantation bleeds are fairly rare and normally fresh blood mixed with clear fluid can be watery or thick.  I think sometimes when you are ttc you notice odd things that your body does that you would normally ignore and not notice.  Good luck.

I'm with Sam on this one. I also get period pains before my period. Every month is different for me.

I hope it is the answer you want but like people have said try not to get your hopes up to much as you may be dissappointed if its not.

I have my fingers crossed for you though...

Goodluck. xxxxxxxx
