Hello again.

Max and Tom have been away for over a week now and I've missed them so much.

They're in Trinidad and although I have a special rate on the phone line it still ends up costing me loads so the calls are kept short, which isn't hard when Tom Tom usually just stands there nodding and smiling at the other end and all I can hear is him breathing...

Anyhoos, I've spoken to them every other day and Max usually gives me a line or two about his day, usually in excited garble.  This is cool, I'm just grateful to hear their voices and know they're okay but yesterday's line was all crackly and I couldn't hear.  As soon as the phone went down I bawled.

I know they're back soon and life will be bedlam once again but I miss them so much.

Their room has just about been scrubbed clean ready for their return but they're not due back until Sunday.  I'm bored and keep looking for things to do...

Anyway, this is just a rambling (wine-induced) post to my little boys telling them how loved they are and how I can't wait to see them.

I'm not going to tell you how hard etc.. it must be, but how good it is for them to see their dad etc. as you know all that.

They'll be home soon so think of all the tales they will have to tell and all the big kisses they will have to give and all the fun you will have together.

Yeah, you're right Rin. It makes me really appreciate them.  I must remember that when they're giving me grief...

I've used this time to catch up on all the jobs that needed doing.  I've also spent loads of money on retail therapy!

The best part was framing their pictures and doting them around the house (I've been wanting to do that for ages) and sorting out photographs for their albums.  I've also started to keep a written diary on behalf of the boys, like some of the funny things they say and do as I enjoy doing that.

See, been a busy bee me.

Love the ideas of keeping a book of things they say.  Thats a great idea.

The amount of times, I hear Harrison and Louis playing, the things they say they are like two funny old men.

I've got packet after packet of photos to put in empty albums I need to get rid of my two so I can do it

Awww hun i know how you feel. It's so hard as you love them and care for them 24/7 and then are at a sudden loose end. I have difficulty in not begrudging his time with his dad..... but i'm lucky i still have kristian to keep me busy.

They'll be so full of beans when they get home, hugs and kisses that it seems to make the hurt vanish so quickly..... as for making the time pass madmums is brill but i took up cross stitch to help the time pass.

Maybe we would play a story making game? or something if we all get really board! lol

I can understand to a certain degree how you feel. My girls stay away once a week with my mum and even though its been every week for a while now it still feels weird not having them there. So i would dread to think how i would be if they ever went away for as long as your pair have.

My mum and dad want to take them away for a weekend this year and i am up for it and looking forward to a peaceful weekend i just know i will be counting the hours to them coming back and tipping the house upside down again hehe.

It won't be long hun... xxxxxxxxx

Mate it is hard, but trust me it does get easier...and yes I can say that cos ive had years of practice of it.  Only problem I have is the ex tends to try and distract tasja when shes on the phone to us...plus he insists its on mobiles...well fine...doesnt cost me anything lol..but costs him double...but he hasnt figured that one out yet lol.

Just keep yourself busy, have a potter about the house and a bimble around whenever you feel like it...they will be home soon enough.  Take this time to do bits and pieces you wouldnt ordinarily do...like biscuits in bed...or even crisp sarnies

It is such a difficult thing. I hate it when the girls go to their dad's - especially in the summer, when they go for 2 to 3 weeks. The house is so quiet without them - I miss them terribly. The relief I feel when my family is complete again...

Try and enjoy your peaceful time til they get home - and imagine how fab it will be at the weekend when they get back.

xxx
