Madam Bex has decided to stay on and finish 5th year !!! I have also convinced her to really knuckle down and put 110% effort into her 5th year exams and prelims so hopefully she wont totally waste her education years.

Only another 11 years to go and I go through it all again with Sophie and then Adam. Maybe I should invest in rubber doors and ear-plugs now !!

Thanks again for all of your lovely replies !

My sd is undecided what she wants to do at the moment, she likes the idea of earning money but also wants to go to college too, we went through a rough stage alittle while ago but she is sorting herself out now.

Hope she gets the result she wants.

Well that is excellent news!  Don't you just love it when they finally realise that it's not going to be for nothing! It won't be too bad next time round, after all you should be well practised by then! lol

im glad you got it sorted as im sure she would have regretted giving up for most of her life, i know i wish i had tried harder at school and didnt treat college as a excuse to get drunk and party xxx although it was good fun just wish i had chose a better course with a future instead of one with a 2 week holiday to italy. but i guess we all live and learn xxx

So glad Bex has made the sensible decision. I dread coming up against my Becca in something like this. At the moment she is doing really well at school, and wants to be a doctor - we are drumming it into her that she needs to put her head down and work really hard if that's the case - she won't be able to drift through the next few years. It's a difficult time as well - hormones, boys etc etc.

I bet you're feeling so relieved.

I'll be the same - just get Becca and Ruthie through it all, then I'll have Cameron and the next one to battle with! lol

xxx

Phew...thats a load off....at least shes willing to make an effort now.

Am dreading that with the girls...but joe says he'll frog march the pair of them to the classrooms and sit outside the door of the class if he has to...now he behaved at college...whereas I didnt so that could be interesting lol.

So glad Bex has decided to stay on. Kirstin is threatening on giving up 5th year as well but I think its because the pressure is on her at the mo, with pre lims etc in a couple of weeks and she is expected to do well. She hasn't a clue what she wants to do and we are trying to convince her to stay for 6th year because if she doesn't she will land up laying in bed all day.

Good luck Bex in your exams

Thats fantastic news! I am so glad she has decided to stay on and finished it! Its not like she has long left anyway. Hopefully she'll knuckle down and get some good grades, then she'll see its all be worth while!

Did you talk to her about sports courses at college?

I did Chris, yes. She is looking to go to Invergordon college but she needs to get really good grades to get on the course she wants, so fingers crossed.
