Fred and Winston are getting more aggressive as time goes on.  If Winston touches a straight line of blocks and messes them up Fred will hit him with the first thing that comes to hand (usually a block), and Winston usually returns the favour.  Fred has a hait, og grabbing Winston round the neck, and my fear is he isn't gonna stop one day.  Having been moved away from the 'crime scene', Winston then prceeded to headbut the hard tiled floor, which had a block sitting right where his head was aimed!  Yes he has a bruise, but then just as he seemed to be settling down, he then punched his own head several times.  The thing is he did this 3 times in a row, and although it all lasted only half an hour in total, it was really quite scary at how violent the 2 became to each other.  It only stopped when I called one of the older ones to take one tiny one through to the other room!  I'm very shocked by the increasing violence, although on good days, like Friday, they were so lovable, and it far outweighs the bad, if I hadn't had the older ones here, I hate to think how much longer it would have gone on for.  Any ideas (short of soft padding the whole room, and taking every hard toy out), as I am really running out of them now!

Do you have a playpen at all Vix?  If you do you could at least pen one in there which gives you a free hand to supervize the what ever the other one is doing.  Hopefully you will start to get some answers soon from the dr's and then you will know what you are dealing with and know how to cope with these situtations better.  I don't know how you do it, Ols was tearing around the house being generally annoying today as toddlers can be and I lost it.  After a very long week at work and working 10 hour days I am shattered this weekend and just wanted some piece and quiet, Ols on the other hand wants to climb all over me and bounce about.

Hang in there you are doing a brilliant job.

wentworth and svannah are always fighting with each other, wentworth had a black eye the other day from svannah hitting him with a pole that she took from her fifi house, and today he was sitiing on her head jumping up and down on the laminate floor it must of really hurt her.

i usually seperate them in their bedrooms when they start, but it doesnt work when they come back down they start again!!!

svannah is one for both biting wentworth and strangling him, i do have to watch them all the time when we are at home.

if u find some answers vix be sure to pass them on.

xxxx

Vix i hate to break it to you but this is close siblings. i mean siblings born so close to each other. My girls fight like cat and dog. They pull hair, scratch, bite, pinch you name it.

I was exactly the sme with my brother and there is just under 3 years between us.

My girls have been cuddling and hugging and kissing each other today and then all of a sudden they are scrapping over a jigsaw.

I feel the same as you i want to pull my hair out and scream and shout but i know it won't work. You are doing the best thing by seperating them thats all you can do. I'm afraid it won't get any better. But at least you are being seen and will hopefully get some answers.

But otherwise they will just be brothers and thats all it is. xxxxx

Hun....

I can only agree with the ladies before me.... the only other thing you can do is chuck an old duvet down and throw them on there and if they come off it it's there own hard luck you gave them a safe place and they chose to ignore it....

This is one of the trying things about being a parent.... one of them thats not disclosed till after they're born! lol

You just have to hang in there, there are days where they will love each other and get on, just dont know when!!

Me and my lil sis cured our problems by erm moving to oppsite ends of the country...she went to kent and i went to the shetlands...we got on a lot better after that.  We were forever having full blown scraps...even went on when we were teenagers...mum just gave up on playing a referee.

Even now...we can only handle a few hours of each other and then we start...usually she snaps at tony for going out with joe lol..and doesnt understand the term...just chill out...so what if there not home yet..cripes its hours til the pub shuts lol...she really really goes off on one.  She kind of snapped at isla on christmas when isla was playing with her puppy..instead of explaining why isla couldnt do what she was doing, she just yelled no dont....so i launched at her...hmmm tracey shes been brought up with dogs..so to her all dogs are the same, dont yell at her, cos cass will go for you (very protective, took over from jerry) just explain why and shell be fine with that...or something along those lines.

She still irritates me greatly, but hey all siblings are like that.  Go with the flow chick, itll drive you up the wall, but you are doing the best you can

Adam and Zarah have started this and Im dreading it when Mae is on the move. One minute they can be so sweet together, the next minute Im a referee in a WWE style match. It's awful and apart from shouting till I'm blue in the face nothing seems to work. I've tried putting Zarah in a playpen for when Im upstairs or cooking but it just means she cant get away from Adam and is contained when he decides to clobber her!
So I'm not much help but will be watching the thread for suggestions!
Sorry Vix!

Not got any advice really, sorry. I can sympathise though. My youngest are like WWF wrestlers at times. Tehy pull at each other, bash each other etc etc and it really makes me want to cry watching this going on.

Saying all that though, if one falls or hurts themselves, the other one will give them hugs. odd lil things kiddies.

you could try an icecube down their necks when they go at it!!! might distract them long enough to get them apart without getting battered yourself!!! other than that just keep doing what your doing. as they get older the punches just seem to be better placed!!! my boys , and meg for that metter still have major scraps, i do get involved if there are objects included, but most of the time i let them sort it out!!
