I had an coil installed about 2 month ago.....and already had a few side effects and doctor offered to take it out but......I am not sure.
1. Bleeding: annoying and smelly but not much tbh and should stop after 6 month (hopefully)
2. Waight gain: worry me a bit but I should have more exersice and not eat too late....
3. One of the reasons my PND get worse.....not sure is related
What you think? If anyone have this device? Problems with it?

Personally I would never have a coil but more for ethical reasons than anything else.  Is it the mirena coil?  Lots of people report depression on that and also break through bleeding.  It might be worth having it removed and seeing if that helps the depression.  I can't take any hormone type contraceptive at they all cause me depression.

Is a hormonal one?

I know alot of women don't get on with this coil.

I would see how you go but if it doesn't settle soon it might be the only thing to take it out.

How about trying the normal one that doesn't effect your hormones? xxx

I have a friend who uses a hormone coil for contraception without much complication.

I have though about it myself, but when I had my DD I was in a bed opposite a female on her fifth child, only she'd only wanted 3. She got pregnant both 4th & 5th times whilst using a coil! She said to the midwives she was thinking about sterlisation to prevent anymore.

My current doctor told me there's a risk of slight infection is inserted incorrectly so if you've not already been back I'd certainly make an appointment.

Don't worry to much in the meanwhile.
