Well in never rains but it pours is about the best phrase for this house at the moment!
Eds has been ill, and has just got over an ear infection.
I knew the moment he got better I would get ill as I could feel it building. In 24 hours I had severe tiredness, all the symptoms of flu (cold, cough, acheing all over) and a tummy bug.
Was feeling better so went out to salsa yesterday evening and went for few drinks after.
Got home and felt a bit more drunk than I should of done for how much I'd drunk (only a couple of glasses of wine) so I went to bed.
Woke up bunged up so took some more of my boots cold&flu capsules.
As the morning progressed my skin on my face started to feel very tight and itchy, then my hands. Then I realised my ring fingers were dead - I am started to get Raynauds but it normally only happens in the cold. Mum turned up as we were going to tesco, but by then i felt really unwell and was shakey plus I now itched all over my face, neck, chest and hands.
I looked on the back of my cold&flu pills and it said dont take if you have Raynauds Syndrome - oops.
Anyway by the time I got to Tesco mum was pretty worried about me so I spoke to the pharmasist. He said the raynauds thing is because the pills can effect your blood vessles hence why my fingers hurt - and that I had obviously had a bad reaction as well. But as it was still getting worse and moving down my chest he was worried it may affect my breathing and wouldnt give me anything. He told me to take myself off to the docs!
So finished shop and went to docs (Eds was meant to be at a birthday party but I just couldnt face people). No doctor avaliable! However had a long chat with the nurse who said it would be very unusual for me to have a dangerous reaction now as it would normally happen pretty quickly. She told me to take some pirition and if it got any worse to forget the docs and get myself up to casualty.
Anyway I have taken the piriton and then eds and i both fell asleep on the sofa for 2 hours. I still dont feel right but the itching has gone down a lot now and I can take another piriton soon. I dont normally have allergies and I said to mum, I have taken so many strong meds for my SPD and it turns out to be an other the counter flu thing I am allergic too! Typical!
