Hazy are you sure you don't have UC?  Your symptoms are surprisingly similar to mine.  I have had a few abcesses so can sympathise with the pain.  Hope the hospital sort you out, I used to have surgery to get mine drained and then have packs which was horrid.  Hope your is an antibiotic job and nothing else.  Good luck.

Well, what a carry on !!

Saw a very cute junior Dr and had all my obs done, all fine. Then the registrar was called away so I had to wait for 2 and 1/2 hours for her to come back. Had a 5 min examination with her, didn't need surgery and was allowed home !!!

Have 2 lots of painkillers and anti biotics. Am sat on a swimming ring just now cos it's still sore but not as swollen.

I knew swimming rings had there uses! Hope all recovers quickly and that's the end of it for you....
