aww nikki, you are a good mother! You know i had the social services out, i too was scared their intentions were to take my kids away (they tried to tell me otherwise), and at one point they had threatened to put them on the protection register, unreasonably, as i had just moved house and hadn't unpacked and apparently it is not a good environment for a child...Anyhow, i did everything that asked, and they found no other reason to keep interfering and they left! I didn't get a great deal of help from them, but i reassured them that i do my housework, that i keep the house tidy and that the kids are indeed well looked after and loved...She saw in Liam the tantrums, the level of activity and she said " he's like Taz the Tazmanian devil, he is just everywhere!" the kid doesn't sleep, 5 hours out of 24, he doesnt sit down, he is always into something, he can be so naughty, and he disregards everything i say. He gets a smack if he persists, i do warn him so much but its difficult as he just wont listen! And i know he understands perfectly!

Well he learnt the hard way yesterday, i told him to come away from the fence at the park and he didnt and he ran straight into an iron bar that was sticking out from the flood damage and he scratched all down his face! Then he learnt that he shouldn't do that lol

I hope you get some answers soon hun, and some support because it is so hard trying to raise a child that is so full of beans with theses conditions!

My mum won't have Liam, he wears her out, she thinks he has ADHD, he has an abnormal amount of energy considering he doesnt sleep, and doesnt eat that much! He cant pay attention to anything longer than a few seconds so reading to him doesnt work, teaching him things fails.

Let us know how your experience goes, oh and liam has just broken megs toy kitchen argh!! She's not going to be happy!

Huge hugs xxxxx

Right then, just got back from the doctors, have changed my health visitor to a younger male model, who is coming out to see us next week to assess Lewis and offer some support.

The doc is also referring him to see the community Paediatrician to diagnose the ADHD and finally to get the help and support that we need.

The help and support I have recieved from all of you, however, has been invaluable, and I wouldnt know what I would do without you all.  Thank you all for being there, and I will update you all again when I get some more news xxxxxxxxx

It's great to see that everything is going better in that department.  I didn't know there were male hv's (not that I'm sexist, just shocked).  I'm glad to see the doc is willing to refer lewis for you, at least that is one less stress for you to worry about.

Awww hunny i'm glad that the doctor you saw today has sat up and taken notice. Hopefully the male hv will click with lewis more and see what he's really like and i hope the appointment with the pediatrician comes though quick sticks.
