how did you get rid of the potty?  I mean get your child to use the loo full time - I'm sick of emptying the potty and now hannah is getting mobile, it is a nightmare as Ellie doesn't always tell me she's been and hannah tipped it up the other day full of wee!

we had a nightmare getting Ellie to poo on the potty/loo and she rarely poos on the toilet even now, it's always the potty...in front of the tv unfortunately - so this is a bad habit I want to break as I'm nearly sick when I have to tip a poo down the loo lol.

also, the downstairs loo has a really high handle so if the door is shut, we might have accidents....which are now almost non-existent...

grrr think I've already talked myself out of it LOL

the potty is doing my head in!!

Just get rid of the potty, tell her the fairys had seen what a big girl she is and thought that doesnt need it anymore and that another little girl needed it. Maybe leave her a little pressie where the potty is normally kept as an exchange with a little note.

We went on holiday about a month after my dd was trained and was told there would be a potty waiting for us but there wasnt so we just put her on the toilet and she just took to it, to be honest it worked really well as i hate emptying potties. when we got home i hid the potty and she never asked again to use it.

I had the same problem with my little girl, she would only poo in the potty in the living room, we moved the potty into the bathroom so she had no choice but to go in there to use it. As for moving to the toilet, maybe she’s scared of falling in, you could try a step and one of those kiddie potty seats.

molly is still using the potty aswell as the toilet, to be fair at the moment its alot easier for me with having Jessie (8 weeks) as you can guarantee while I'm feeding jess molly needs a wee and she cant get on the toilet by herself and she still struggles with certain clothes shes wearing how to pull them down i.e jeans, ill probably get rid summer time i don't mind the potty around the house its still very convenient at the mo xx jue xx

p.s molly will be 3 in april

Just a sympathy message here.

DD is still along way off being completely potty trained, though saying that if I put her in knickers we only get a "wet" acident if she's watching TV or on the computer. Poos however since last August we've had 1 in the potty, more down to luck of me saying sit on the potty now & one in the toilet when it was bathtime. Phew.

She will use the upstairs toilet if we are up there but not downstairs it has to be the potty, perhaps with me its the tiles in the downstairs toilet.

Good luck & I think the fairies idea is a good one. Although a few months back I explained to my DD that I felt she should not have her bedtime milk in baby bottle to which she just said "OK, mummy" and on that I've never looked back.
