just wondering how long it took for you to deliver your baby after being 3-4 cms dilated..

my little sister is at that stage now and is going into hospital with my SIL who is a mw and who will hopefully be delivering the baby provided my sis progresses in time (sil can only be with her for so many hours before she won't be allowed to carry on for legal reasons)...

I went from 1-2 cms dilated to pushing in about 35 mins but I am told that is really quick so doubt she'll be that quick...she's been having contractions thru the night last night about 10 mins apart...

oooh I'm going to be an auntie again soon   can't wait!!

I have absolutely no idea.  First contraction to delivery for me was 4 hours 25 minutes!

I hope it's relatively quick for your sister!

xx

Depends hun is this her first??

If so your looking at 12 hrs i'd guess, if it's the second i'd say it would be quicker at most half of that but thats my experiences.

Good luck to her and almost congratulations to you auntie

There is no real way of telling.  As a rough guide with a first baby they say 1cm per hour, once your waters break this tends to speed up.  With my second daughter I went from 2cms dilated which I had been for over a week to fully dilated in 20mins.

I never made it to fully dilated so haven't really got a clue, but just wanted to wish her well.

By now she could have already had her baby, so i guess this question could be irrelevant, and perhaps you could give us the answer for future reference? lol
Good luck to your lil sis, i hope lo is about to or already has made its appearence into the world.
Look forward to hearing how it went hun.
