I'm stubborn!  The thought of "others have done it, so I can too!" Lots of hard work at times- but I knew those times would sort themselves out.   Support from friends and support group and reading as much as I could about successful feeding.

Thanks for your replies!

Well done!!! its hard to exclusively bf 1 let alone 2!!! I had a hard time, not much from Ben but from external pressures of family and hv telling me how much easier it would be to 'give him a few bottles of formula to get him to sleep'. Like you though I was stubborn and determined to continue feeding him all by myself and I'm so glad I did!
Keep up the good work!!!!

funnily enough I'm getting good chunks of sleep, which is good.  Loads of folk are saying it must be hard feeding two, but all I need to do is latch them on during the night, they take a feed and then go back to sleep and so do I.  I can't imagine how hard it must be to get bottles prepared during night feeds.  When they've been through growth spurt it's been hard and tiring, but I just kept thinking about the extra work bottle feeding would involve and the extra expense.   To be honest the growth spurt  times have nearly made me give up twice- but that's when the support network has been my lifeline.

Breastfeeding has also made sure I get good quality cuddle time with the wee ones too.

Well done, Lynie.

How's Emilie and Alex adapting to being big brother and sister?  I bet they like helping out.

I love the pics in your gallery - soooo cute.

Alex is great, growing up way too fast though!

Emilie has really settled down after the initial shock!  We've been making sure they get their slots of 1to1 attention during the day to reassure them they're still as special as ever, and Alex goes to his wee football training with Stewart and I take Emilie to her wee dancing class on a Saturday morning too.

They both love helping to bath the babies- Emilie still prefers Sophie and Alex helps more with Euan though!
