Hello again..

I'm sorry you've been mucked about so much with this hun but as you'vew found out yourself, it really is hit and miss whether you get the proper care before, during and after a pregnancy.. Once I had the initial plating op (about 5yrs ago) I had to keep fighting to see consultant after consultant as they all insinuated that it was 'all in my head' and none of them would loook at the plate properly to see if it was doing it's job.. I knew it wasn't as the pain was horrendous (afetr getting better) and the 'clicking & popping' were audible to other people.. As far as they were concerned I had been 'fixed' so basically go away!! By fighting I finally saw someone who did believe me (the fact that I clicked while trying to stand up helped and he heard it) and that's why I had the op.  He decided to stabalise the back too (as well as putting two plates in the front this time) as he though by fixing the front it might put too much pressure on the back giving me even more back problems later on.   To be honest though, the pain has been far less than what I suffered every day with the SPD ans my mobility is far better too.. yes, it's along recovery and I knew that but I'm just trying to take each day as it comes.. My biggest problem is doing too much and then being of my feet for days because of the pain.. I take about 2/3's less pain killers than I did before the op so it all looks pretty positive..

I really hope you manage to get the help that you need hun as I obviously know how hard it can be and the best advice I can give is to keep fighting.. you know if there's something wrong and someone somewhere will eventually believe you!

Take care hun,

Jen
