Joshua has always had a very good routine. If I have ever waivered from it he quickly settles back into it, without his sleep he is a nightmare.
On holiday we had some late nights, although we didnt stay out very late, except for 1 night (we stayed out till gone 9pm). On this occassion Joshua fell asleep and I carried him back (2 mile walk- shared the discomfort with my dad lol) He was usually awake till at least 8pm and sometimes a bit later. With the adrenaline of the holiday this didnt seem to effect him. However, he now seems stuck in this late night mode. We got home Thursday and he went to bed without any fuss, but didnt sleep until gone 10pm. He was then good as gold yesterday, went to bed about 7.30pm but was up and down a million times for the toilet. He did not look one tiny bit tired and eventually settled about half 10. He was up at 7am this morning, again as good as gold today and is still awake now!
Im putting him to bed at his routine time, but he just doesn't seem tired, nor is it effecting him. He's not playing up, or messing upstairs. He knows the rules about bedtime, but he is just lying there. Obviously getting up for the toilet when he is bored.
Help.. how can I get him to have a full nights sleep??? He's back at school on Monday and the last thing I need is his tiredness creeping up on him and shooting his behaviour through the roof.
