Hi all - well didnt know which section to post this in and this is the closest so hope you don't mind!

Well soem of you may rem a while back me posting up about how much i want another baby? Well its got to the stage where im eating, sleeping and breathing baby thoughts its consuming my whole life! Marks not ready jsut yet for another and I am so trying not to keep mentioning it as i don't want to feel I'm forcing it ya know! we have had lots of chats and as hes so busy with uni etc he wants to wait - BUT its driving me mad I really really would love to try for another and i know if we leave it too long when we finally do try i will become obsessed each month my period is due to arrive etc and Im scared the more i think of it eachmonth the more it wont happen! I feel quite guilty really as I know some of you are really trying hard for a baby and are having problems - where as I've got a beautiful healthy little girl already - But this feeling is truly eating me up - what makes it worst is everyone seems to be pregnant at the moment and i cant bear to talk about it or anything. I had no idea it could take over my life like this....

thanx ladies :)

Ah yes that biological clock can tick very loudly.  I am not sure how old you are but if under 30 then yes biologically you have plenty of time if 30 then don't leave it too long.  As for the invasion of baby thoughts they do ease of in time you might need to occupy your mind in some other way to assist it though.  If you have a plan for the future for examply your partner to finish Uni and other things aim for those and plan in having a baby as well.  You might have to wait a bit but at least you will know you can start trying on X date.  As for counting the days to your period you will do that now if you start trying so that bit makes no difference.  Try and distract yourself with something else to take your mind off of it for a while especially if you can't pursuade your partner.  Or you could use Lynie's method which works "I want a puppy, I want a puppy" eventually they take the hint and give in for a quiet life....

Ive been trying the i want a puppy thing...and joe still hasnt taken the hint...still he goes away again in a few weeks lol...so you never know what cute fluffy bundles hell come home to lol...unfortunately my mum is refusing to puppysit in any way shape or form which is just mean in my book!

It can take over your life chica.  Just try not to let it, there is more to you than babies, i know that sounds really horrible, but couldnt think of another way to write it.

Steph is right it can take over your life and it can make you feel like crap too.  There is more to all of us than babies as much as we all love them and want them.  The trick is finding the right balance and when you find it let me know

Sam i was 26 last month and mark will be 29 in aug so a late starter as far as uni goes! it prob made us sound as if we were 20 lol I know I'm not that old I just feel as though the years are passing me by! I am trying very hard to consume my thoughts with something else - its just all these pregnant cousins of mine! I guess I just have this massive feeling inside me that wants another baby and its not a phase - well if it is its been going on for nearly a year! lol Im goign to get on at mark to set a month we can start "trying" lol I think I just needed to vent how I was feeling! Thanx girls! :)

I should patent the  "puppy persuasion" method of getting what you want from a partner...

(Good luck PK!)

It is a phase it's just a phase that lasts from around 18 years old until you are 50+ and have grandchildren.

Aaaaaaw huni....I had a stage like this about 2 years ago and it does consume you in every way or form...but it realy does pass. I consigned myself to the fact that rob wanted no more kids, then a yr ago out the blue he tells me he does. You will get over this stage, I know its hard huni but it does get easier...ive been there xx
