When I was at the doctors, I asked her to take a look at my right hand.  I was born with deformed fingers - the tendons are too short in each of my fingers, so I cannot straighten them, which does cause pain and is now starting to effect my typing - and ultimately my job.

My little finger is now starting to curl up and its starting to resemble a claw.  I am also losing the function of this finger - which is murder when I'm trying to type!!

Anyhoo, the look of horror on her face when she saw them.  When she asked how long they had been like that - and I had said since birth, she then asked if I had been to see about it before.  I had, when I was in my early teens, but then the surgeon said that surgery would do more harm than good and I should just leave well alone.

However, she didnt seem convinced and asked me to give her a week or so to dig out my old notes to see who I saw and to make some enquiries to whether surgery would be the option now.

Not what I was expecting - only wanted some more ibuprofen gel to rub on them!!!!

I just hope they can sort it for you babe - you have enough going wrong so it would be lovely for you to get something 'fixed'!

Good luck!

A friend of my family has just had an operation to correct her little finger as it had turned inwards touching her palm, but she is 70 and it was a gradual thing... slowly getting worse, not like you who's had this since birth.
She also had an operation a couple of years ago on her other hand for the same thing, but that op wasnt successful and her finger is still the same!

I hope that if surgery is an option for you now, that it will help you regain full use of your fingers.
