Ive got both, only cos the battery died in the digital one.
I love the digital one as its pretty fool-proof, goes red and sends an alarm with a high temperature, and just stays green for a normal temperature.
Ive got an ordinary one, pureley for when the battery goes dead or if i put it somewhere 'safe'. I dont trust either of my girls to hold it under their tongue, so its the underarm job for them lol.

I think i have the same as Steph, as i brought one today from Argos that flashes red and makes a beeping noise when the person's goes to high and green when ok, its been a god send at the moment as dd is quite poorly. It was reasonably priced to only £24.99.

I have several differnt thermometers, we have the nurofen in the ear one which I bought from Lloyds Pharmacy, it is accurate but you need to have it in position correctly which isn't always easy with a wiggly child, I have one that you put on the forehead which is accurate and I have 2 different digital ones which you can put under the tongue or in the arm pit. Depends who I am taking the temperature of to which one I use, for Ols generally forehead or ear.
