I don't listen to Radio 1 but I do have quite a few tracks that mean a lot to me as they have happened at key times in my life which I think is what you are asking (I hope or I will look really silly).  Most of mine are on my blog when I am feeling down or just thinking about the past they come back to me.

The song that reminds me most of Keith and I is - Don't go changing bye Billy Joel, it's a very old song but I heard it once whilst driving in the car and although I had heard it a hundred times before the words just hit me.  I think because Keith and I met when we were both over 30 and I had been in a bad marriage before, this song just sums us up really and why I think we work together.

I shall believe by Sheryl Crow is the song I most listen to when I am feeling depressed and like I screwed my life up.  It's not really about anyone else just holding on to hope I guess.

Another Cup of Coffee by Mike and the Mechanics is the song about how I felt when I was married and when I was getting a divorce.

Wonderful World by James Morrison was the song I listened most to towards the end of last year when I was trying to pull myself after loosing my babies and my Nan, I think the words of the song explain how I was feeling at the time.

December 13th 2006 - Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol

May 12th 2007 - Have a little Patience by Take That

There are more but that has probably bored you enough.....

Argh i see.... sorry was to worried about making a huge fool of myself to post before... lol thanks sam for breaking the ice.

Ones that mean alot to me are celine dion.... falling into you.

Queen, Friends will be friends (how i feel about my chap)

When a man loves a woman (helped me though my divorce, kept me on the straight and narrow that i was doing the right thing)

Cher, if i could turn back time..... ok i wouldn't want my life without my kids but i'd change a few things like walking away sooner in some areas.

And finally in my house...... (can't remember who sings it) but...my girl sorry my boy's!!

well i guess i should say why adele's song is my changing track (forgot to mention before) well this is my changing track as hubby sang it one day and changed the lyrics to chasing babies and it suddenly made me realise that yes thats how i feel ....should i keep chasing pavements even if it leads no-where .....its like im chasing a dream of having a baby when deep down i doubt it will ever happen . Not an overly nice story behind it but whenever i hear it i instantly think of being a mum .

I love Radio 1, and some of the changing track stories make me cry!

There are songs that come on, and instantly make me think of a time or event, or person. Im not sure they are changing tracks.

There is a Stephen Houghton song (he covered it wouldnt know the original), the words are irrelevant, its just a beautiful song. But one of the songs remind me so much of when I was 16/17. I was with Joshua's bio dad, and my heart was fluttering to another (teenage hormones and all that - I never ever strayed though). He sang this song to me, I'd never heard it before and when I got home popped on my cd, suddenly it was there balring back at me. I had in on repeat all night, little tears running down my face. I was trying to decide which path to follow, on the same cd (reason for buying it) was the song me and Joshua's bio dad had as 'our song' The 2 were side by side, just as the 2 guys were ( they were friends). Anyway, obviously I choose to stay in the relationship I was in, told my now ex I needed more and we needed to work on a few things and we just carried on. Every time I hear that song now I wonder hoe different my life could have been. I dont regret it, everything happens for a reason, but it is one of the few things I wonder the 'what if's about'.

I've got a few songs too - I think music is such a powerful 'memory-jogger'. Sting's 'When we dance' reminds me of before me and dh were together properly, living 200 miles apart - he sent me a copy of it. Still makes me want to cry when I hear it.

Queen 'Don't stop me now' makes me smile - I have fab memories of me and my close friends from school dancing about in our fav pub - it was on the juke box and we played it every weekend when we were in. I also danced to it the night I met my dh - I know every word - he was gobsmacked! lol

Have just realised there are too many to mention hehe!

xxx

I have Who wants to live forever - by Queen... this is the song that was played at my Grandad's funeral, and my Dad also wants it as his song too.
Its such a sad song, but means a great deal to me.

The final countdown - by Europe.. My Dad was a big bodybuilder, and when i was about 12, he entered a show and it was me that helped him practise his poses and routine every night for a month before to this song.
I remember sitting on the front row, copying all the poses he did (just incase he forgot lolol) And he came 1st!

My wedding song is Kingston town by UB40, so for obvious reasons, i like that one too.

And just one more is I'm not okay, by My Chemical Romance.
My sad emo, cutting your wrists song this is, that i listen to when im feeling down, and reminiscing about everything horrible that happened to me.

x-x-x

"Love Fool" by the Cardigans and "Roll with it" by Oasis remind me of my early 20's.

Groovejet by Spiller reminds me of meeting and falling for my hubby.

"Oblivious" by Aztec Camera and "When Will You Make My Phone Ring" by Deacon Blue are special too.

Goodness- I've got loads more too...
