blimey thats shocking - molly does drink squash i.e robinsons but also likes water - i wont cut the juice out altogether but i will make her cut down and drink water instead, god im gonna be checking everythin from now on - i also feel like complaining to robinsons!!!!

You can get juice that does not contain it, the argument is that quite often even when trying to avoid it by buying the full fat variety of soft drinks you get it because it's now appearing in those as well.

At the end of the day it all comes down to £ , aspartame is cheaper than other safer sweeteners.

Im currently giving lewis Asda's own brand no added sugar orange squash - which does not contain Aspartame, however, lewis does get fruit shoots when we are out, but we will just be taking a bottle of the squash with us in future.

Is there anything we can do Flip?  Start a petition or something?

Hi all

I've just gone though my cupboards as my kids tend to have high juice or pure fruit squash diluted to taste.

I have found that one of the high juice bottles that i brought the other day does contain this aspartame.... needless to say i will be taking it back and exchanging it for another and putting in a complaint as it's a stores own brand!!

Thanks for letting me know the name as i could remember it for the life of me.

Out of intrest do you think it would be benificial to other members (me inculded) to have a post of all the 'bad' bits that get added and their complicated names?

You can Digg this thread HERE

I'm really about this, I ordered Robinsons Whole Orange Drink 1 Ltr on our Tesco shop yesterday (knowing how Sam feels about Aspartame) expecting it not to to contain Aspartame (ingredients not listed on the Tesco website) which of cause it does.

In fact none of the products from the Orange/Lemon Flavoured Squash shelf on the Tesco website list the ingredients, I wonder why.

This is excatly what my ds reacts to, tesco whole orange squash has it in and this sends him nuts, we now stick to Rocks organic range which tesco has just extended to double its previous range, they taste abit funny at first but they are worth giving a go.
