Everyone is accepted here, my partner was a stay at home dad for a while and he did a great job, the lo's were always cared for and the house never looked so good, lol.

He didn't care what people thought, its them that have the problem.

Hi and welcome, hope to talk again.

Hello and welcome.

I'm Emma and i'm mummy to 3 year old twin girls. I'm a stay at home mum but do work on the side. Its mainly in the evening when my partner gets home and he can look after our girls. I know a few stay at home dads and they love it.

You are always welcome on here as people have said. Most people will be jealous that you stay at home and get to spend precious time with your daughter! All i will say is enjoy it and forget about the others that wish they could!!!! xx

Hi and welcome, Herman.

Good for you at being a stay at home Daddy. I think it's a lovely thing for the Daddies to do as they are sometimes the ones who miss out on prescious moments.

I'm Hazel and married to Andy. We have3 kids and live in Scotland.

Hiya Herman and welcome. My name's Crystal and I'm married to Brent.

My husband stayed at home while I worked when our first son was 1 yr. This went on for a few years and even after our second son was born. Now he has a better job than me doing less hours for more money in the day (parttime) and I work in the evening (also parttime) we also didn't want anyone else looking after them. He does a wonderful job looking after all 4 of them and when I come home from work at 9.30pm they are all tucked up snug in bedlol!

Anyway when all is said and done it's great when dads stay home and there's absolutely no reason why they shouldn't if they want or need to. It's so important for us parents to enjoy our children as they grow up, not miss it and wonder how they grew up so fast. My husband also didn't give a toss what anyone else might think about it either!

So you're officially a mad dad then

Hiya Herman,

I'm Amanda, im 26 and i have 4 children Joshua 8, Sophie 7, Shannon 6 and Harry who is 4!
I cant see why some people make such a fuss over stay at home fathers to be honest, i mean it shouldnt matter to society wether the carer is the mother or father, as long as everyone involved is happy with their personal decisions.
I for one would certainly appreciate you as a member with us, your experiences, opinions and views are just as valuable as the next.
Welcome aboard.

My DP & I were both stay at home parents until this September & now I've gone back to studying PT. Leaving my partner to stay home & care for my daughter. My daughter is content with the situation & was even telling me I could go to college yesterday & she'd stay with daddy, even though its my holidays at the moment. lol.

Must admit my DP does sometimes feel a bit of an "outsider" though at some parent & toddler settings but is otherwise happy to look after our DD. We live in a semi-rural area about 15 miles from Manchester, England.
