I have to admit I have never seteralised food things and that includes beakers and i have now stopped steralising bottles (on the odd occasion he has one).

Just wash it well in very hot water and you'll be fine!

I think its up 2 the individual really - i sterilise everything of Ryans but i do hav a cold water steriliser

i guess if u wanted 2 sterilise it u could make up some solution in a bowl for the cup or even just pour boiling water over it - hv told me 2 do that for ryans 1st bottle if the steriliser wasnt made up (i managed 2 do it while i was in labour tho lol)

i will do bottles up 2 1y/o cause los r more prone 2 infections caused by bacteria until then & milk is a major source of nasty bacteria

Everything else im thinking about stopping at 6 months but we'll c, i'll probably still do it occassionally but not worry so much if we're out

i think once tom starts picking things up and putting them in his mouth then the steriliser will be banished again

i dont think it harms them if you choose to wash beakers/cups/bowls in hot soapy water

personally, i think it can cause more problems in the long run with los health if we sterilise absolutely everything
