Hiya Ladies,
I know this isnt a nice topic to be discussing on a lazy Saturday afternoon but, for the last couple of weeks I've noticed a big difference in my bladder control. Afer having Mia, i did (and still do) the pelvic floor excercises recommended, but i've been finding it hard to 'hold' it in.. meaning as soon as i need to go.. it has to be pretty much there and then or else i might have a little accident! God, this is quite embarrassing actually when written down so i'll stop now lol
Anyone got any help or advice? I didnt think it rated a doctors appointment, but does anyone else suffer this at all? (Yeah right, like anyone else will admit this in public) lololololol Many thanks Amanda x-x-x

It's not embarrassing at all. I'm still suffering this after having the twins- it's just something that happens with the more pregnancies you have. If it gets worse definitely go to the docs in case you need some kind of repair done.

Hun i have had problems with this too but doing this and core exercises to tighten tummy muscles also has helped.
My mum after she'd had us 3 ended up being refered (sp?) to physio where she was given weights to walk around the house trying to hold in which got heavier and heavier and she now has better bladder control than me.
If you concerened hun i'd speak to your gp, i'm sure they've had worse and more embarrassing cases.....

Because of my SPD I had physio and she was wonderful and she was wonderful at helping build my pelvic floor so it is now very strong - but without her I am sure I would suffer - dont be embarressed - just go and see your gp and see if there is a 'physio direct' near you to call for advise!

You said that this has only happened recently? If so could you have a mild bladder infection which is making it worse. Try drinking Cranberry juice for a few days to see if that helps a little. I have to be careful when I sneeze some days, I find if the weather is cold and damp that makes it worse for some reason. Carry on with the pelvic floor exercises and also when you go for a wee stop your wee and hold it for 10 seconds before you carry on which exercises your pelvic floor even more. Like the girls say go to the gp if it is worrying you, they have heard it all before.

Thanks everyone for your little tips to try, i've been doing extra pelvic floors since yesterday, an i have some cranberry juice to drink today to see if that help over the next week. Sam, i tried stopping mid-flow... absolutely useless lololol, i couldn't do it to save my life. And sneezeing, well i wont even go there lol It has got increasingly worse over a while, so i think the best thing is to make an appointment with my gp.. i just didnt realise there was anything they could do for it, but now i know. Cheers girls for your advice. I dont feel alone in my problem now Love Amanda x-x-x
