I had my prolotherapy injections on Thursday and the improvement is very slowly starting.

Friday when the sedative and local anisthetic wore off it was agony - the pain in the symphysis pubis joint was just awful, I couldnt focus on anything but the pain, my vision was blurred by it, I could hardly hear people talking to me, the only thing I could focus on the the pain. It was horrible.

Saturday and the pain was still really bad - I have hardly got any sleep since Thursday - getting about 20 mins at a time and averaging just a couple of hours of broken sleep a night - however yesterday afternoon my movement had improved slightly and I wasnt having to rely on both crutches. I could even manage without them at all for small distances and I could think past the pain and have conversations. I was still on maximum pain meds

Today I have had slightly more sleep (by about 30 mins) and although I am still on a lot of morrphine i can start to see the end in site, the pain is lessening in the other areas and its mainly focused to the injection sites where the injections are causing localised inflammation so I know its for a purpose. Slowly but surely I can imagine getting my life back.

I know my friends and family cant wait to get the real, happy me back and I cant wait to be able to play with my son without having to tell him I cant sit on the floor or i cant have him sit on me - I just want to be his mum again!
