When I had Meg, 10 years ago now the facilities were non existant where I live. I remember having to sit in the car at Morrsions and feed her with a pervy bloke sitting in the car next to me having a good old look! so when she had finished I flashed both of them to him and grinned when he finally looked away embarrassed!!!

We went to Australia when she was 18 months old and the facilities over there were amazing. We went into one room (dont remember the name of the place now) and there was everything a feeding mum could want!! It was huge, with comfy seats, private areas with a curtain if you were shy, a bottle warmer, microwave and they even provided anti bac wipes, and it was checked on an hourly basis ( and it was checked) It was wonderful! I came out of there feeling really special as though they thought a lot of their fedding mums and babies.

I was lucky enough to be able to change the babies on my lap so never had to put them on a dirty table and worry what may have been there before. Although I did find it more difficult when I had the boys (twins) as most of the rooms over here arent big enough (or weren t at the time) to push a double buggy into and have room to change/feed a baby. what are you meant to do with the other one....leave it outside and hope no one takes a fancy to pinchimg your baby?

Thankfully as my trio are now 10 and nearly 8 I dont have to think too much about my own usage anymore, but I agree with everyone else that facilities are poor, and for heavens sake women were given boobs to feed their babies not for mens pleasure , so why should we hide what we re doing?!

I was only talking to my friend the other day about this as we both have babies who both needed changing, we were at the 2 Henry's in Shrewsbury which is a wacky warehouse type place so it gets lots of children, the changing facilities were that bad we actually changed them in the back of her car!!! (wont be going back in a long time and i did put in a complaint) there was poo wiped across the pull down changer used nappies just thrown in the corner as there were no nappy bins (i did think the parents could have put them in bags and took them away with them but they didn't and there were around 10) the smell was disgusting, the shopping center toilets are just as bad i would never take my children there to change or feed, the best places which are fab in Shrewsbury is super-bowl, mother-care, and tesco's - they are regularly cleaned, and are actually nice environments which i would be happy to change or feed in there, tesco's even stock up on Nappy's and wipes which is great if you've gone without xx jue xx

I have to say i used to try and avoid changing areas if i could as most made my skim crawl, i found that supermarkets where actually better than shopping centres.

I too like Madz would breastfeed mine anywhere didnt care if anyone stared it was their problem not mine i was always descret and didnt flash too much lol, i actually walked around sainsburys once feeding as i was in a hurry got a few looks but most didnt even realise what was happening. I never got asked to leave anywhere luckily as i think i would have lost my cool. I would rather a happy feeding baby than a hungry screaming 1 sat next to me in a cafe etc

Well its been a while since i had to feed or change a baby myself, but in Tamworth, theres a very nice, clean and comfy mothers room for feeding and changing, and also mothercare and mothercare world had fantastic private rooms too with everything you could possibly need for you and your lo's.
I have been into a few places that were horrid.. walked in and straight back out again.. but on the whole, here seems to be pretty good when it comes to changing facilites i think.

i change the babies on my lap and breastfeed them in the car or cafes if i'm out and about.  It's against the law to ask a breastfeeding mother to move on in Scotland, so no more feeding in toilets here, thank the lord.

public restrooms are dirty and funky I change my little bundle some where in the open. I usually prefer a bench or something outside of the latrine.
